We started as People.ai in 2016 with one goal - stop making revenue teams dig through emails, call recordings, and CRM notes just to figure out where a deal stands. Nine years later, we process billions of signals, power trillions in revenue for our customers, and we're still just getting started.
We renamed ourselves Backstory in 2026 because it's the question every revenue leader asks about every deal. Now it's what we do and who we are.
